INTERVIEW WITH DAVE REIMER

Discussion Questions

  1. Dave’s first comment is that Anabaptist eschatology (the study or doctrine of the “last things”) is all over the place. Does that match your experience? Do you or the people in your circle have a variety of ideas about the end time?

  2. Dave doesn’t tackle Revelation at all, instead pointing out that “the Kingdom of God has already been inaugurated” and we know how we are supposed to live that out as a community from the Beatitudes. Do you think he dodged the question? If so, why might he have chosen that route?

  3. Is there a danger in focusing on the last things? Is there a danger specifically to the idea of community?

  4. Dave mentions peacemaking twice in his last few comments. Why do you think he does that in the context of this question?
